Manifesto
This Manifesto describes what we believe, and how we act on it.
Vision
To create a free, worldwide commons where every being can access the most effective methods for reducing suffering and cultivating human flourishing — integrating contemplative wisdom, trauma science, and modern mental health knowledge into a shared, open, and evolving resource available to all.
Mission
We are building a free, global commons of healing and flourishing — bridging contemplative wisdom, trauma science, and modern mental health through community and open collaboration.
Values
- Every being deserves access to the means of healing.
- Relief must never be restricted by institutions, ideology, or commerce.
- Suffering is part of the human experience, and the tools that ease it must remain available to all.
- Our purpose is to ensure that no gatekeeper stands between a person and the help they need.
- Healing emerges in community.
- Everyone must feel welcomed, seen, heard, unjudged, and supported—regardless of identity, background, or belief.
- We reject elitism, gatekeeping, and exclusion in all forms.
- This ensures the platform remains a global common rather than a fortress of experts.
- We trust what is verified in lived experience.
- Insights must align with compassion and be affirmed by wise and ethical practitioners.
- Teachings must demonstrate their value by reducing suffering and increasing clarity and safety.
- We honor the Kalama Sutta’s guidance: evaluate teachings by their fruits, not their source.
- Healing is a lived, embodied process—not an abstract ideal.
- We prioritize what works: somatic practices, trauma-informed methods, meditation skills, and evidence-based tools.
- Conceptual elegance matters far less than real-world effectiveness.
- What helps is preserved; what confuses or harms is set aside.
- – Human suffering evolves, and so must the methods that address it.
- – We integrate new trauma science, neuroscience breakthroughs, contemplative insights, and ethical AI developments.
- – We honor ancient wisdom while remaining responsive to new discoveries.
- – Nothing remains fixed; everything moves toward greater skillfulness and compassion.
- Compassion becomes real through contribution.
- Care is expressed through effort—giving time, skill, energy, and support.
- This includes writing, donating, organizing groups, leading book clubs, and creating community spaces.
- Healing grows through what we do, not merely what we say.
- Knowledge of the mind belongs to everyone.
- Healing expands when people learn together and share openly.
- We support open-source tools, community contributions, dialogue circles, and peer-led initiatives.
- No one owns the path to wellbeing—it is a collective, evolving creation rooted in shared humanity.
Principles
1 We center every action on reducing suffering and removing barriers to healing.
2 We prioritize practical, real-world healing over abstract theories.
3 We create spaces where all people feel welcomed, seen, heard, and safe.
4 We trust what works in lived experience: we keep what helps and release what does not.
5 We honor the global commons — healing knowledge belongs to humanity.
6 We reject all forms of gatekeeping, elitism, or hierarchy
7 We test ideas against evidence and outcomes, and hold them to a standard of compassion — not doctrine.
8 We evolve continuously as understanding deepens.
